Paul O’Dwyer jumped into Cleddau river in Wales to try to save two women who had got into difficulties
A father of three had died fighting to save two struggling paddleboarders in south-west Wales on Saturday, in an “absolutely heartbreaking” incident that left three people dead and one in a critical condition.
Paul O’Dwyer, a former soldier, jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue two women in distress, but was later pronounced dead on the banks of the Cleddau river in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
